How to request for extended reading?

The University Library is open from 8:00AM to 12 midnight, Mondays to Fridays. Books, periodicals, and theses and dissertations from other sections of the Main Library and the UP School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) which are closed after 5:00PM may be requested for extended reading. This service allows you to read the requested item(s) beyond 5:00PM at the General Reference and Electronic Resources Section (GenRef).

To place your request for extended reading:

  • Go to the library website www.mainlib.upd.edu.ph
  • Log in using your UP WebMail account
  • Click the “Request for extended reading” link under the Request Menu on the left side of the website
  • Fill up the request web form and submit your request before 4:45PM
  • Get your extended reading at the Electronic Resources Room of the General Reference Section
  • Or, you may visit the University Library and personally request for extended reading
