The OEC is a staff unit under the UP Diliman's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
The OEC's primary functions are:
- To coordinate the extension activities of operating UPD units;
- To generate data and other information needed for planning purposes or policy formulation; and
- To enforce policies, rules, standards and basic procedures of extension services.

- August 17, 2011, Closing Ceremony of the Intensive English Program for the Woosong
University students, CAL Audio-Visual Room, Bulwagang Rizal -- Fifteen students from the College of Health and Welfare of the Woosung University completed their three-weeks Intensive English program at UP Diliman last August 17, 2011.
