Designed by Engr. Mario Montejo (DOST Secretary), the new Sundial is also known as "the Sundial of the New Millenium," a project of Tau Alpha Fraternity. It features a digital display of not only the time, but of the day and month as well. It automatically adjusts for the Earth's rotational tilt and elliptical orbit eccentricity.

Located in the original site of the analog Sundial at the west lawn of UP College of Engineering, the digital sundial is Tau Alpha's donation to the UP College of Engineering on the college's 100th founding anniversary on June 13, 2010.
