A beta version for iOS was developed in May 2012. It is compatible with iOS 5.0 and 5.1. A beta version for android was also developed in June 2012. The android application is compatible with Android 2.2 (Froyo), Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
On iOS, UVLe is fully compatible with My Moodle App.
In 12 September 2013, UVLe iOS 1 and UVLe Android 1.3.1 was officially released. The android application was also compatible with Android 4.1.2, 4.2.2, and 4.3 (Jelly Bean). UVLe android was also compatible with mobile and tablet devices. UVLe iOS 1 was upgraded to 1.1 to support iOS 5 to 7 on 02 October 2013.
At the end of 2013, UVLe Android was patched to version 1.3.2 to support Android 4.4 (KitKat).
In circa 2014, UVLe mobile has no continuous development. The UVLe Mobile only supports UVLe 2 and became unstable since UVLe 3 was introduced on 12 January 2018. An alternative mobile application for all Moodle sites including UVLe was available in the Appstore and Playstore called Moodle Mobile.
The UVLe 3 website was already mobile responsive and a progressive web application. Google Chrome will be able to detect UVLe website and enables users to install UVLe on their mobile devices.
On 14 October 2019, a revamp and development of UVLe mobile was conducted to support the UVLe 3. UVLe Android 3.7.1 was released on 26 March 2020. It supports Android 4.4 (KitKat) and up.
