UP International

This page seeks to summarize efforts at making the University of the Philippines System an international entity.

International Students and Faculty

• about 1,200 students enrolled at UP (most of whom are graduate students) come from abroad
• these foreign students come from 70 countries (with Korea, Japan, and USA supplying the most)
• there are 341 international faculty members of UP coming from 31 countries

International Meetings

• since SY 2005-06, UP organized or hosted 260 international fora or conferences
• UP has entered into academic cooperation agreements with at least 200 universities from at least 34 countries

International Academic Networks

UP is a member of the following academic networks:

• ASEAN University Network (AUN)
• Asia Pacific Rim Universities (APRU)
• ASEAN-European University Partnership Network (ASEA UNINET)
• Southeast Asia Taiwan Universities Forum (SATU)
