Dr. Ferdinand Blancaflor Pitagan was a [http://www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp/culture/scholarship/index.htm/ Monbukagusho (Japanese Government Scholarship)] scholar from 2005 to 2010.  He is a graduate (March 2010) of [http://www.icu.ac.jp/index_e.html/ International Christian University], Tokyo, Japan with a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education.  He was a research fellow at [http://www.u-gakugei.ac.jp/english/ Tokyo Gakugei University] (2005-2006), a special science teacher at [http://www.pshs.edu.ph/ Philippine Science High School] (1997-2004), and a professional trainer for the [http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le0/le9/learning_certification_type_home.html/ Cisco Networking Academy].  He has done extensive research and written numerous articles about education, technology, and society.  Furthermore, he has done various international research presentations; been the project leader of the [http://subsite.icu.ac.jp/gs/etchp/contacts.html/ Asian Graduate School Forum]; and received several national and international awards.  At present, he is an assistant professor at the [http://www.upd.edu.ph/~ced/ College of Education], [http://www.upd.edu.ph/ University of the Philippines - Diliman], teaching educational technology courses, an educational technology consultant of [http://ittc.up.edu.ph/ UP Information Technology Training Center (UP-ITTC)] and a research fellow of the [http://subsite.icu.ac.jp/iers/english/index.html/ ICU Institute for Educational Research and Service (IERS)].

He is a graduate (March 2010) of International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan with a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education. He was a research fellow at Tokyo Gakugei University (2005-2006), a special science teacher at Philippine Science High School (1997-2004), and a professional trainer for the Cisco Networking Academy. He has done extensive research and written numerous articles about education, technology, and society. Furthermore, he has done various international research presentations; been the project leader of the Asian Graduate School Forum; and received several national and international awards. At present, he is an assistant professor at the College of Education, University of the Philippines - Diliman, teaching educational technology courses, an educational technology consultant of UP Information Technology Training Center (UP-ITTC) and a research fellow of the ICU Institute for Educational Research and Service (IERS).
