Constitution of University Academic Technologies Committee (Call for Comments)

This proposal to establish or constitute a University Academic Technologies Committee seeks to address the perennial challenges of introducing, integrating, maintaining, upgrading academic technologies in the University--particularly in 3 interrelated domains of instruction, research, and administration.
Proposed functions[1]
- Management, planning, coordination and supervision of both media content (media services, web apps, webpages/sites), research platforms, and hardware (equipment and infrastructure, AVRs, servers and storage)
- Advisory and recommendatory body on policies involving the above

Qualifications of College AT Committee Chairs
- Must be a faculty member of the College
- Appointed by the respective Deans/Heads of Units
Privileges of College AT Committee Chairs
- Three-unit administrative de-loading (only if the Committee is created by respective Units)
Responsibilities of ATC Chairs
- Chair the college committee consisting of fellow members as appointed by the Deans/Heads of Units
- Report needs of colleges and its subunits in terms of
- IT infrastructure
- media contents
- digital resources for instruction and research
- Coordinate with UPCC, DILC, and PABX.
- Supervise and manage
