1. Reduction in the volume of consumption of fuel, water, office supplies, electricity and other utilities by adopting the following measures:

a) Turn off main water valve after 7:00 pm., turn on at 6:00 am. next morning to minimize losses due to underated leaking pipes.
b) Remind all UP Diliman units to cause the repair of all leaking faucets and water closets; adjust/monitor water closets to operate a minimal level of water consumption; report busted pipes to CMO.
c) Remind every one to turn off all water and electrical appliances/equipment when not in use, during lunch (12:00-1:00 p.m.), and before leaving the office. Custodial workers shall be instructed not to switch on the lights and air-con units before office opens at 8:00 o' clock or when offices are still unoccupied.

Air-con units shall be switched on at about 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, and from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
e) When leaving the office for meeting or business outside the building, lights and air-con units should also be shut off.
f) Regular cleaning and maintenance job on air-con units (filter and condenser) and fluorescent/incandescent bulbs (diffusers).
