Philippine Journalism Research Conference

From Iskomunidad

Upholding its commitment to journalism scholarship, the Journalism Department of the College of Mass Communication, will hold the Philippine Journalism Research Conference on March 5, 2014 at Plaridel Hall in UP Diliman.

The Journalism Research Conference, already in its second year, attracts students, faculty and media practitioners from journalism and communication schools all over the country. The conference will highlight papers that expound the challenges and issues of journalism as it faces the 21st century. This could mean knowledge, skills, attitudes, and aspirations that define journalism’s role in society.

The best research papers presented will receive the Chit Estella Memorial Awards for Journalism Research to be given by the family of the late Prof. Chit Estella-Simbulan and Vera Files, a news media non-profit devoted to in-depth reporting.

For more information about the conference, Please contact Prof. Lucia Tangi (9206852) and Ms. Raquel Bacarra (rcasibo@yahoo.com) and (9206852) or email the Journ Department at journdept@yahoo.com.
