Barbaza, A.R. (2016). Maia, Unpublished Undergraduate Thesis, University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication.
Maia tells the story of Max, who copes with the death of her twin sister, Alex, through the use of Maia – an editing software that creates hyper-realistic films without the use of a camera. Max uses this to reconstruct her memories with Alex. The film is guided by Kracauer’s Memory Studies, Freud's Psychoanalysis and Reflexive Cinema.
