The UP Physics Association (UPPA) is an established academic and non-profit organization committed to the promotion and development of Physics inside and outside the University of the Philippines. For more than thirty years now, the UPPA has continuously strived to organize projects that would advance the study, awareness and appreciation of Physics among students and the general public.

UPPA is one of the founding members of the Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral para sa Pagpapaunlad ng Pisika (SMPP), an alliance of physics-oriented individuals and organizations in the Philippines.


"We, the physics students of the University of the Philippines, uniting to establish an association that shall promote the common interest and individual development of physics majors and other students interested in this field, advance the study and awareness of physics in all its aspects among students and the general public, and cooperate with the UP Physics faculty for the improvement of the National Institute of Physics, do hereby ordain and promulgate this constitution."
