Sa Kabilang Panig ng mga Alon
The film is about Jelly, a young woman who struggles to find the money needed for her to work abroad. She tries different ways of completing the placement fee by pawning a gifted necklace and selling her beloved guitar. Along the way, she tells the story of women in her life that motivates her to find better opportunities. Her ill mother Lucia, a former OFW who raised her alone and, her aunt Grace who relies on her American boyfriend. When she gets enough money, her uncle calls to say that her mother was rushed to the hospital, compelling her to stay here and decline the caregiver job in China to take care of her own mother instead.
