Balangkas: Symposium on Intensifying International Engagement

BALANGKAS: Symposium on INTENSIFYING INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT

on 25 April 2016, 9AM-5PM at the College of Engineering Theater, 3F, Melchor Hall, UP Diliman; and

The UPD International Fair on 25-26 April, 9AM-5PM, at the second and third floor lobbies of Melchor Hall.

The Balangkas symposium will feature internationalization concepts, experiences and lessons learned, policy directions and future courses of action. Presentation modules are capped by open forums. The attached program presents the topics that cover, in essence, the activities that your units may well be replicating or building upon.

Faculty, students, REPS, and administrative staff may sign up in one or all of the symposium modules. Please fill out the attached sign-up sheet that may be emailed back to us until 15 April 2016 at international.linkages.gcr@gmail.com (Attention: Dr. Grace C. Ramos, PDA for International Linkages – OVCAA)

We strongly encourage faculty members to let their students participate in this event that would present to them opportunities for student exchange or short-term academic travels.

The UPD International Fair will feature completed, ongoing and upcoming activities with our international partners. Faculty, students, REPS and staff may also fill out application forms for various international mobility programs on site.

Altogether, the Balangkas Symposium and the Fair will better enable us to find the ways by which we can become more internationally engaged, as we pursue academic excellence.
