Elinor May Cruz is a University Research Associate of the Third World Studies Center. She is also associate editor of Kasarinlan: Philippine Journal of Third World Studies. She has been involved in researches on memory and violent protests; ICT4D[1]; risk, discourse, and the body; the mass transit system in Metro Manila; and violence, human rights, and democracy in the Philippines. She was awarded the Gawad Tsanselor Para sa Natatanging REPS (Research cluster) in 2016. Finally, she earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Research from the College of Mass Communication, University of the Philippines - Diliman and a master's degree in Sociology from the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in the same university.
