Jalton Taguibao
Jalton Garces Taguibao is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Department of the Political Science, College of Social Sciences, University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Background
Assistant Professor Jalton Taguibao graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and a Masters degree in Public Management from the University of the Philippines Manila. He served as Teaching Associate at the Department of Political Science in UP Diliman before working as a Full time faculty member at the University of Asia and the Pacific from 2002-2004. In 2005, he joined the Department of Social Science at the University of the Philippines-Manila as a Full time faculty member. In 2010, he returned to the Department of Political Science, UP Diliman as Assistant Professor.
Apart from his engagements in the academe, Prof. Jalton Taguibao is a Research and Project Manager at the Affiliated Network for Social Accountability-East Asia and the Pacific. He also serves as policy consultant, lecturer, and trainer at the Development Academy of the Philippines, the National Commission for Culture and Arts and the National Defense College of the Philippines.
Prof. Taguibao is currently a PhD Candidate in Political Science, completing his dissertation research on Renewable Energy Policy. He has also previously completed postgraduate courses at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany.
