The Association of Clothing Technology Students (ACTS) is the official student organization of the B.S. Clothing Technology Program of the Department of Clothing, Textiles and Interior Design, in the College of Home Economics (CHE) in UP Diliman. It aims to develop creativity among its members and to elevate the level of technical and management know-how in the clothing and textile industries.

The Department of Clothing, Textiles & Interior Design (CTID), formerly known as the Department of Clothing, Textiles & Related Arts (CTRA), started as one of the four Departments established under the U.P. College of Home Economics (CHE) in 1961. The current academic programs under the CTID Department are the Bachelor of Science in Clothing Technology (BSCT), Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (BSID) and Master of Interior Design (MID).

The Bachelor of Science in Clothing Technology (BSCT) evolved from the Bachelor of Science in Home Economics major in Clothing, Home Furnishings and Craft Merchandising created in 1965 while the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design originated from the Bachelor of Science in Home Economics major in Interior Design in 1968. The Bachelor of Interior Design (BID) was established in 1973 as a joint program between the College of Home Economics and the College of Architecture. The BS Clothing Technology program was implemented in 1975. The year 2000 marked the change of name of the Department from the Department of Clothing, Textiles & Related Arts (CTRA) to the Department of Clothing, Textiles & Interior Design (CTID).
