UNESCO CLUB of the University of the Philippines Diliman
The Organization
UNESCO Club – UP Diliman aims to promote the understanding and the embodiment of the ideals and objectives of UNESCO among students. As such, it endeavors to foster equality, understanding and cooperation among the members of its community, by means of facilitating dialogues among the diverse groups within it and outside it, as needed. It also aims to provide a training ground for the development of holistic leaders, both capable of and committed to laying the foundation for the sustainable development of the community, society, and country.
Mission
• To promote the understanding and the embodiment of the ideals and objectives of UNESCO to the students of the University of the Philippines Diliman;
• To increase awareness on poverty, human rights, equality, racial discrimination, and other related issues;
• To spearhead projects that would contribute to a sustainable environment;
• To promote the holistic growth and development of its members; and
• To develop camaraderie among its members through training and involvement in social activities
