Jalton Taguibao
Jalton Garces Taguibao is Assistant Professor at the Department of the Political Science, College of Social Sciences, University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Background
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Major in Political Science in 1998, from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. In 2001, he completed coursework units in the Master of Arts in Political Science Program, however, proceeded to work as a full time faculty at the University of Asia and the Pacific (2002-2004) and the University of the Philippines-Manila (2005-2010). He graduated with a Masters degree in Public Management from the University of the Philippines-Manila in 2010.
Currently, Asst. Prof. Taguibao is completing his PhD in Political Science from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Upon completion of his PhD coursework, he intends to write a dissertation on Philippine Energy and Environmental Politics, particularly, Renewable Energy Development in the Philippines. Asst. Prof. Taguibao's research interests include Media Politics, Political Economy and Technology Politics.
Asst. Prof. Jalton Taguibao is also a musician, arranger, and composer.
