UPM Elvis Concert
The UPM Elvis Concert is a rock 'n roll event run by the UP Mountaineers since the early 1990s. Traditionally the event is hosted by Romeo Lee, a campus punk/rock icon. In 2011, the bands playing at the concern included The Go Signals, Flippin Soul Stompers, Coffee Break Island, Dong Abay, Dong Abay, FMD, Sleepy Heads, Pepe Smith, Jeepney Joyride, LTNS, Billy Gaga. Past Elvis concerts featured then nascent Pepe Smith, Dong Abay, Pupil, Bembol Rockers, Tado, JR and Tropical Depression. Held at UP College of Human Kinetics New Gym, the 2011 Elvis Concert is dubbed "Elvis Rides Again," in reference to a 5-year hiatus of what otherwise is an annual event.
At the concert, Romeo Lee performs his signature performance of "Wild Thing" and "My Girl."
