UP Diliman Libraries

At the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), libraries extend beyond the Main Library that houses more than a million volumes of books. More than 40 College and institute libraries serve different academic communities (ranging from arts to sciences), offering access to resources and study spaces across the campus. For students, these libraries can be starting points for new interdisciplinary research questions that they might not encounter in usual academic curricula.

Amidst the rise of digitization of books, artificial intelligence, and inadequate spaces, the ULtimate Library Hop encourages UP students to discover and connect with the university's libraries through physical visits. It offers an opportunity to explore the breadth of UPD’s library system while learning how to navigate the resources available. The library hop is organized around visiting participating libraries and collecting stamps in a passbook. Participants complete their passbooks and submit them to the Main Library to qualify for merchandise or a raffle entry.

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni can also begin their research online before visiting the physical library. Before going to a library, students should check the book's location, availability, and circulation status. They should also confirm whether the material can be borrowed, consulted on-site, or accessed through a request procedure. UP Diliman offers various digital tools for easy access to electronic books and resources:
