Title: Pagbabalik Tanaw

Abstract

A young man is made to reflect on his past life decisions when he visits an old friend’s art exhibit. Juan accepts the invitation despite the fear of his past haunting him. In the exhibit, he is confronted by what he could have been by seeing the success of Mel, evidenced by his paintings, admirers, and by meeting Mel’s longtime girlfriend Mika.

The film tackles how a person’s economic state and familial expectations influence a person’s future and career path. Psychoanalysis and Semiotics were the frameworks used in the film.
