Elinor May K. Cruz
Elinor May Cruz is a University Research Associate of the Third World Studies Center. She is also an Associate Editor of Kasarinlan: Philippine Journal of Third World Studies. Prior to her appointment as a research associate, she had served as a research assistant in the Center. She earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Research from the College of Mass Communication, University of the Philippines- Diliman, and is now taking up graduate studies in Sociology at the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy. She is a member of the Philippine Sociological Society. Among her research interests are gender studies, sexuality, development work, popular culture, sociology of the environment, and mass media. She is currently the project leader of the project "Cybersex in the Anti-Development State: Labor Politics and Life Histories," funded by the The Strengthening Information Society Research Capacity Alliance (SIRCA II) program[1]
