Richard Karl Deang
Richard Karl Deang is Instructor in French at the Department of European Languages, UP College of Arts and Letters, University of the Philippines, Diliman. He graduated with a BA in European Languages (French and English Literature) and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Comparative literature at the same university. His academic interests include 20th-century French literature, gay writing in France, queer theory and cultural studies. He is currently working on a history of AIDS literature in France, focusing on the works of Dominique Fernandez, Hervé Guibert, Cyril Collard and Jean-Luc Lagarce.
