Emerald O. Flaviano

Emerald O. Flaviano is University Research Associate I of the Third World Studies Center. Aside from coordinating TWSC's Visiting Research Fellowship Program and co-coordinating with Elinor May Cruz the training and advocacy activities of the Center, she also serves as an associate editor of Kasarinlan. She has done research on social memory in Mendiola and on Cinemalaya and Philippine independent cinema. Emerald has a BA in Political Science from the University of the Philippines-Diliman and is currently working on an MA in Art Studies (Art Theory and Criticism) in the same university. She is a member of the Young Critics Circle Film Desk.
