UP CINEMA aims to bring film to the frontiers. Established on the 25th of February 2004, UP CINEMA is a university-wide film organization based in the College of Mass Communication. The organization is born out of the desire to learn more about film and all its aspects outside just what is taught in the confines of the classroom, including the development of the skills needed in an actual film production and in the critiquing of films. UP CINEMA was founded by four film students – Charliebebs Gohetia, Dohna Sarmiento, Nicole Arguelles, and Davene Venturanza. The organization is composed of students from many of the different colleges, schools and institutions of UP Diliman including the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Home Economics, and even the College of Science among many others. The organization’s Tambayan is located at Plaridel Hall, 1101, Quezon City. | |||
