His previous research involvements include researches that looked at independence social movements, a social history of the Philippine revolution, a history of the Manila City Council, a history of the Manila Medical Society, the status of labor exchange relations among Filipino farmers, narratives of Death March witnesses, an annotation of Ponce and de Veyra's Efemerides Filipinas, and a research on one hundred Filipina pioneers in different fields.
