History

The UP Engineering Society (UP Eng'gSoc) was founded on August 26, 1996 by a group of students who envisioned an organization that would allow membership from all the departments of the College of Engineering. Thus, giving birth to the first Engineering-wide student organization in the University of the Philippines, producing inter-department cooperation, generating college unity, and providing an environment that is conducive to learning, self-improvement and service.

The main goal of the UP Engineering Society is to build bridges and break barriers. In fulfilling so, the members of the organization have been consistently active in college-wide projects.
