The UP Engineering Society was founded on August 26, 1996 by a group of students who envisioned an organization that would allow membership from all the departments of the College of Engineering. Thus, giving birth to the first Engineering-wide student organization in the University of the Philippines, producing inter-department cooperation, generating college unity, and providing an environment that is conducive to learning, self-improvement and service.
