Administrative Positions

Prof. Aguilar succeeded Prof. Lourdes Saniel as College Secretary of the College of Human Kinetics. From 1994 to 2003, she served during the terms of Dean Artemio Isidro, Dean Leilani Gonzalo and Dean Gilda Uy. Her request to be relieved of her post to focus on her graduate studies came with Dean Uy's appointment for a second term. Although a regular faculty after that, she has been involved in various college and university committee work such as: UP Diliman University Council Committee Member on Student Organizations, Activities & Welfare [Feb 2003-May 2009]; UP-CHK Graduate Committee member [academic year 2004-2005]; UP-CHK Library Committee Chair [academic years 2004-2005 & 2005-2006]; UP-Diliman Dormitory Admissions and Oversight Committee member [academic year 2009-2010]. Prof. Aguilar's last administrative post was as CHK Graduate Studies Program Director for academic years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.

Courses handled

Prof. Aguilar handles various dance courses at the College of Human Kinetics for both undergraduate and graduate students. For Basic Physical Education activity classes, she focuses on recreational and community dances such as Line Dance, which she instituted in 1997, Social Dance, with a focus on Pinoy Ballroom dancing, and Foreign Folk Dance. For CHK major classes, she teaches Fundamental Rhythms, History of Dance and Asian Dance. For CHK graduate classes, she handles the Dance in Culture class, and has handled the Dance Composition I class as well as Curriculum Development in Physical Education.
