Request for Comments on a Project: Low-power FM Transmission on Camps
Description
A network of strategically placed low-power (about 0.1W to 15W) FM transmitters on campus; source content is streamed from a DILC server. The audio stream is also available online. Initial contents: demo tracks from campus bands, music education program, stream of important campus academic events. Potentially this community-based FM "station" can complement commercial radio stations in disaster or crisis situations.
