UP FORTYNINERS. A camaraderie of fearless, diverse, and goal-driven men and women in the name of virtuosity.
History
The UP Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Association or the UP 49ers has been one of the most established student organizations in the university of the Philippines Diliman Campus since 1954.
The UP 49ers differs radically from other societies because we are not plain aquaintances... We redefine friend and family. We live with a true sense of kinship. There is an establishment of fraternal Obligation. We build up lifelong bonds which aid the development of the members, helping them to be capable professionals of the country and be supportive individuals to the fellow youth, inside and outside the UP community. We know when and how to have fun.
We don’t need to say that we are the best.
We are Fortyniners.
