The UP Art Studies Society (UP ASS) is a collegiate student body organization from the College of Arts and Letters, University of the Philippines, Diliman. We are a group of young hardworking and dedicated individuals, who embark on projects for the students and for the community as well. | |||
Through the years, UP ASS has continuously contributed to promoting and cultivating the arts and culture in the country, to developing critical awareness of various artistic expressions of Filipinos, and to providing a venue for discussing problems, issues and theories in art and culture. | |||
UP ASS also aims to gather young visual artists in order for them to share, enhance, and apply their talents in the art field. In the past three years, the organization has been actively interacting with artists from different areas to provide/to conduct talks and workshops for exploration and derivation of knowledge (by the participants) from their experience. Also, the works of the invited artists are presented to the public through exhibitions both inside and outside the school campus. | |||

History
The UP Art Studies Society (UP ASS) is a collegiate student body organization from the College of Arts and Letters, University of the Philippines, Diliman. We are a group of young hardworking and dedicated individuals, who embark on projects for the students and for the community as well.
Through the years, UP ASS has continuously contributed to promoting and cultivating the arts and culture in the country, to developing critical awareness of various artistic expressions of Filipinos, and to providing a venue for discussing problems, issues and theories in art and culture.
