UP College of Education Student Council

The UP College of Education Student Council (UP CESC) is the official student government of the UP College of Education (UPCEd), the foremost institution for teacher education in the country. The UP CESC has been dedicatedly working towards providing the students with efficient and effective leadership and service anchored on the principles of the University.

The Council is mandated to protect and promote students' rights and welfare, uphold the objectives of the College of Education, foster meaningful relationships within the College and other sectors of society, and direct out efforts towards a nationalist consciousness for the advancement of a just, democratic, and independent Philippine society.

Composition and Elections of the CESC

The CESC shall be composed of the Chairperson, the Vice Chairperson, and nine (9) councilors, all elected at large. The six standing committees of the Council are as follows: Education and Research, Externals, Finance, Public Information, and Secretariat, Students' Rights and Welfare. The College Representative to the University Student Council (USC) and the College Representative to the University Freshie Council (UFC) also joins the CESC in its proceedings.
