Abstract

Terminal (2019)

TERMINAL is about people in line waiting but has grown too comfortable in their positions that they’ve become oblivious to their passivity.

A man befriends a young vendor but their friendship is cut short when a lamp post hits the boy. Faced with death and stripped off of his comforts, the man becomes conscious of his situation and starts to grow more irritable and impatient as everyone around him are indifferent and stationary. Having had enough of his situation, the man gets off the line and makes a way to the unknown.

TERMINAL tackles the passivity of people in their lives and the search for meaning in the world. The film fuses existentialism with modernist aesthetics to emphasize the absurdity of the world.
