Description: A story sung which customarily done by grandparents when their grand-
- children gather around them and ask for it after supper. The theme of the awit
- and the kurido is generally about the war and love exploits of Christian royalty who
- win over muslims. Occasionally, the theme is about parental demands from children
- or familial obligations. Sometimes the awit and kurido are sung merely to while
- away the time.
