Miguel Paolo P. Reyes is University Research Associate II at the Third World Studies Center. He is also an Associate Editor of Kasarinlan: Philippine Journal of Third World Studies. He has a bachelor's degree (cum laude) in Comparative Literature from the College of Arts and Letters, University of the Philippines-Diliman. He was briefly a graduate student of Comparative Literature in the same institution. In both levels, his concentration was on English translations of European literary texts. He has also earned units in the Juris Doctor program of the UP College of Law. His research interests include literary genres, textual rewriting, intellectual property rights, democratization, and environmentalism. He is currently researcher-in-charge of the Asian Democracy Index project in the Philippines[1].
