The UP Provident Fund Charter, approved by the BOR last May 27, 1994, covers all UP regular employees, both full-time and part-time whether permanent or temporary and all those on hourly, daily or monthly basis such as casuals, contractuals, substitutes, graduate assistants, student assistants, lecturers and professors emeriti.


For the purposes of clarification, contractual project employees whose appointments were not processed by the HRDO and submitted to the Civil Service Commission; or whose contracts stipulate " no employer-employee relationship" are not entitled to the Provident Fund benefits.

To maximize the benefits to retiring UP Employees as a fitting reward for their loyal, faithful and dedicated service to the University, aside from the retirement and other benefits provided for under existing laws

To improve and enhance the asset accumulation and net worth build up of UPPFI while preserving the soundness and growth of its investments which would ultimately redound to the benefit of all its members, especially the retirees…
