Ang Opisina ng Ugnayang Pangkomunidad


Ang Opisina ng Ugnayang Pangkomunidad (OCR) ay isa sa mga opisina sa ilalim ng mas malawak na Tanggapan ng Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Community Affairs na Pinamumunuan ni Prop. Melania L. Flores. Kasama nito ang mga sumusunod na tanggapan: Campus Maintenance Office (CMO), University Health Services (Infirmary), Housing Office (HO), at Task Force on Solid Waste Management.

Ang Saklaw ng Gawain ng OCR

  • Pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga Local Government Units (LGUs) at iba pang Samahan sa loob ng U.P Campus
  • Pagsasaayos at pamamahala ng trapiko (traffic management) at iba pang kaugnay na gawain
  • Pagbibigay serbisyo at Monitoring ng mga Self Built Units
  • Pagkalap ng mga pakalat-kalat na mga hayop sa loob ng Campus
  • Paglulunsad ng mga proyekto at aktibidad na makakatulong sa mga tao sa komunidad ng UP sa pakikipagtulungan ng iba pang Opisina sa loob o labas man ng U.P.

Mga Ginagawa sa Kasalukuyan

  • Pagbibigay ng regular na serbisyo tulad ng pagtugon sa mga kahilingan sa pag-papaayos ng mga self-built units, ROW
  • Pagsasaayos at pamamahala ng transportasyon sa loob ng UP
  • Pag-update ng mga batayang datos sa komunidad (pag-alam sa kasalukuyang bilang ng mga istruktura at populasyon)
  • Pagkakaroon ng regular na pulong sa mga LGUs, samahan ng mga driver, at sa mga samahan
  • Paggabay sa mga klase ng CWTS sa imersyon sa komunidad ng U.P Campus

As a result of close coordination with brgy. coordinators and the communities information on illegal structures and violations in the permits requested for repairs: 39 violations reported (illegal structures, repairs not in accordance to permits requested)

Stray Animals

  • Conducted consultations with Vet Med, CARA, PAWS and Bureau of Animal Industries regarding orientation on laws and guidelines about animal rights and welfare
  • Coordinated with Brgy. UP campus regarding conduct of collecting stray animals
  • Has prepared materials and facilities for the apprehension and temporary shelter of stray animals.
  • Has done 1 operation in apprehending stray dogs and other stray animals.
  • Helped facilitate conduct of free anti-rabies vaccination to dogs in the campus and surrounding communities (2 batches; 600+), 3rd batch will be on Apr 21, 2012 (for animals in academic buildings)
  • Conducted a discussion on the “Animal Welfare Act”

Coordination
