Founded in 1953, the UP Psychology Society is the oldest Psychology-oriented student organization in the university. As its members, we are proud to be part of 58 years of excellence as we continue to maintain and exceed our high standards, uphold the ideals of our department and college, and promote human welfare. Guided by our values and goals, we aim to ignite the potential in each of our members; our most recent work includes raising funds for a scholarship in Mindanao, establishing and maintaining close ties with a community in Payatas, coordinating an inter-university party with Psychology organizations in Ateneo and La Salle, and conducting weekly storytelling sessions with children from low-income families in Katipunan. We count amongst our alumni several senior faculty and former heads of the Department of Psychology, including the Father of Filipino Psychology, a National Scientist, and the creator of the Panukat ng Pagkataong Pilipino.
