Miguel Paolo P. Reyes is a university research associate at the Third World Studies Center, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of the Philippines Diliman. He is an associate editor of <i>Kasarinlan: Philippine Journal of Third World Studies</i>, and served as a managing editor of <i>Asian Democracy Review</i> (currently on a publication hiatus). Prior to joining TWSC in January 2010, he had been an assistant in research and/or publications projects of other research institutes in UP. As researcher-in-charge for the Asian Democracy Index project in the Philippines<ref>http://www.twsc.upd.edu.ph/ADI.html</ref>, he (co-)authored a number of papers on the state of Philippine democratization within the administration Benigno Aquino III.
