UP Visayas (UPV) : the Constituent University of the UP System established on May 31, 1979 (914th BOR Meeting) with the most far-reaching influence in three regions - Regions 6, 7, 8, having campuses in Miag-ao (Iloilo City), Cebu City and Tacloban city. UV continues to pursue its mandate as the national center of excellence for fisheries and marine sciences with the mission to help promote and accelerate the development of the Visayas and the country.
