			SOD is a recognized student organization not just in UP Diliman but also in several campuses along the metro - to name a few, UP Manila, Ateneo de Manila, University of Santo Tomas, Adamson University, Technological Institute of the Philippines, Unibersidad de Manila. In UP Diliman alone, there are 300 strong SOD members.

	One of the beliefs that SOD stands on is that "If we change the campus, we change the world", seeing that many of the next leaders of the nation will be coming from the generation of students in the campuses and universities of the country, and they will definitely carry the values they have cultivated in school into their leadership. Hence, the group focuses on the holistic formation of each student. Through weekly meetings that aim to mentor and guide each student, the organization encourages each scholar "to live a life of excellence and leadership."
