	Miguel Paolo P. Reyes is a university research associate at the Third World Studies Center, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of the Philippines Diliman. He is an associate editor of <i>Kasarinlan: Philippine Journal of Third World Studies</i>, and served as a managing editor of <i>Asian Democracy Review</i> (currently on a publication hiatus). Prior to joining TWSC in January 2010, he had been an assistant in research and/or publications projects of other research institutes in UP. As researcher-in-charge for the Asian Democracy Index project in the Philippines<ref>http://www.twsc.upd.edu.ph/ADI.html</ref>, he (co-)authored a number of papers on the state of Philippine democratization within the administration Benigno Aquino III. His recent work includes research on the Marcos regime—resulting in publications, both academic and popular, on state propaganda and historical revisionism in favor of the Marcoses—and the political economy of rail-based mass transit in the Metro Manila. Having a degree in comparative literature from the University of the Philippines Diliman, he also writes—and writes about—speculative fiction.
