The Policy Inception Workshop last March 2019 was attended by top Philippine HEIs represented by university presidents, chancellors, directors and deans. The project would conduct training, research and other pertinent activities related to the project.		Dr. Pitagan is also Consultant/Specialist at UNESCO leading the team of experts in the design of the framework, strategy, training and budget of the Open Educational Resources – Universal Design for Learning Policy for Higher Educational Institutions in the Philippines Project. 			At present, Dr Pitagan is Specialist in ICT for Education at United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) leading the team of experts in the design of the framework, strategy, training and budget of the Open Educational Resources – Universal Design for Learning Policy for Higher Educational Institutions in the Philippines Project. We just had inception workshop last March 2019 with the top 30 Philippine HEIs represented by university presidents, chancellors, directors and deans. They would conduct training, research and other pertinent activities related to the project.

	Most recently, he is the Director of the Academic Support for Instructional Services and Technology (ASIST)of De La Salle University leading a team of experts in providing professional development and other academic services to all colleges of DLSU Manila to equip approximately 1,100 faculty members with the pedagogical and technological knowledge, skills and values for blended learning and teaching. 	Dr. Ferdinand Blancaflor Pitagan was a Monbukagusho (Japanese Government Scholarship) scholar under which he graduated with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan .
