'''Abstract''' Raymundo, R.T. (2012). Reunion. Unpublished Undergraduate Thesis. University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication. Reunion is a narrative film that explores the integration of a deviant into society. The story is about a man who introduces his mistress to his family. The film’s events occur on the day of their annual family reunion, which they hold in memory of their daughter who had died in a car accident several years past. The film is structured on the sociology of deviance, labeling theory and the psychology behind meeting strangers and confronting members of out-groups. Intended to call attention to how people pass judgment on others based on prevalent cultural stereotypes, the film is also an invite to open mindedness, acceptance and change.
