Editing Medical Aid Fund

You and your direct dependents are entitled to a medical aid equivalent to a maximum of P1,000 per year for claims of reimbursement of medical expenses provided that you are a full-time and regular employee, whether permanent, temporary, casual or contractual with an appointment assigned Grade 1 to 19 in the SSL and have rendered at least one year of continuous service in the University as of December 1991. However, this benefit is non-cumulative and is forfeited if not availed of at the end of each year. 

Reimbursement of medical expenses may only be claimed for illness or other conditions requiring medical attention allowed by Medicare. Claims should be substantiated by documents evidencing payment of medical expenses (e.g. official receipts, doctor's certification/receipt) which should not bear dates earlier than three(3) months before the date the claim is filed. Claims shall be filed for evaluation by the appropriate offices for purposes of determining the qualification and eligibility in such claim for reimbursement. The grant of medical aid is subject to availability of funds.
