This study examined how media breeds homophobia. Specifically, it inquired how Eat Bulaga! negatively perpetuated stereotypes of the Filipino bakla. Through textual analysis, the researcher aims to identify the stereotypes of the bakla, and how media uses them to perpetuate homophobia. 

The researcher utilized non-probability and purposive or judgment sampling as a sampling technique. The samples of this study are the grand finals episodes of Super Sireyna and Suffer Sireyna.

By using B. Gorham’s social psychology of stereotypes and J. Butler’s theory of gender performativity to interpret the results, this study found out that, Eat Bulaga! promotes and constructs stereotypes of the bakla and therefore contributes to the homophobia bred by media through the misrepresentation and abuse of the bakla.

Tinatalakay ng pag-aaral na ito kung paano ipinalalaganap ng midya ang homophobia o ang pagkamuhi sa mga bakla at tomboy. Sa pamamagitan ng textual analysis, inalam ng pag-aaral na ito kung paano iniistiryotayp ang mga bakla sa midya.

Gamit ang non-probability at purposive or judgment sampling bilang sampling technique, pinili ng mag-aaral ang mga grand finals ng Super Sireyna at Suffer Sireyna bilang bukal ng halimbawa.

Sinuri ang mga resulta ng pag-aaral gamit ang social psychology of stereotypes ni B. Gorham at ang theory of gender performativity ni J. Butler. 

Gamit ang mga methods ng pag-aaral na ito, napag-alamang ang Eat Bulaga! ay nagpapalaganap ng homophobia sa pamamagitan ng pagre-reinforce at pagbuo ng mga istiryotayp ng bakla.
