''The I in Instagram: The Self as Projected on the Instagram feeds of chosen Adolescents who migrated internally from General Santos City to Metro Manila'', Unpublished Thesis, University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication. <br /> <br /> Instagram, as one of the fastest-growing social networking sites in the Philippines, serves as an avenue for a variety of activities, from simply browsing through photos of interest to projecting an online self-image. Studies have shown that this platform has been contributing to one’s projection of the self. <br /> <br /> Using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), the researcher looked into how the sense of place of the chosen case studies are mediated after having moved to an urban area from a rural one, as seen on their Instagram posts. <br /> <br /> Through purposive sampling, three case studies were chosen based on specific <br /> criteria. These users have all been raised in General Santos City and have been residents of Metro Manila for at least a year and a half.
