''Headline'', Unpublished Undergraduate Thesis, University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication<br /> <br /> During the course of one night, a young journalist is set to finish his investigative report that will expose the private army of an influential religious group. His work is interrupted by an e-mail from his source informing him about the recent conflicts inside the church, urging him to listen to three audio files containing confessions of members from the said religious group. <br /> <br /> The film uses Louis Althusser’s theory of ideology, focusing on how the repressive (government) and the ideological (religious institution) are strongly connected in upholding the status quo.
